Waterfall financing is a method that automatically routes a patient’s application through multiple lenders in a predefined order—starting with the lender offering the best terms. If the patient is declined by the first lender, the application “waterfalls” to the next, and so on, until a match is found or all options are exhausted. This approach increases approval rates by covering a broader range of credit profiles and reduces friction for both patients and treatment coordinators. With DentiRate, the waterfall process happens seamlessly in the background, saving your team time and ensuring patients are matched with the most favorable financing option available.

Enrolling as a provider is simple. Visit our Get Started page and submit a short application. A DentiRate representative will contact you within 24 hours to guide you through onboarding and provide training for your team.

DentiRate charges a flat monthly platform fee with no setup costs. Transaction-based fees are only applied when a loan is funded and may vary depending on the lender and financing product selected. All fees are transparent and competitive, with no hidden charges. A full breakdown of pricing is provided during onboarding.

All loans processed through DentiRate are non-recourse to the dental office. That means your practice is not financially responsible if a patient is late or defaults. You get paid upfront according to the lender’s disbursement terms.

Patients may qualify for 0% interest promotional loans. Interest begins accruing from the
origination date but is waived entirely if the patient pays off the full loan balance within the
promotional period. These plans help boost treatment acceptance for budget-conscious patients.

We start with a soft credit check, which lets you instantly prequalify patients without impacting
their credit score. A hard credit check is only performed when the patient proceeds to finalize
and sign the loan agreement.
